Q: How
many ads can I place at a time online?
A: You may place one
classified ad order at a
time. If you have a second ad, you must complete the order process a
second time. This will appear as two separate charges on your credit card bill
and you will receive two separate order numbers.
Q: How do I cancel an ad?
A: You may
cancel an ad for the Durango Herald and Cortez Journal by emailing classifieds@durangoherald.com
or calling 970-247-3504. There are no refunds less than $5.00 on cancelled ads. Cancellations must adhere to the deadlines.
Q: How do I modify an ad?
A: You may
modify an ad for the Durango Herald and the Cortez Journal by emailing classifieds@durangoherald.com
or calling 970-247-3504. Modifications must adhere to the
deadlines.
Q: Where will my ad appear?
A: Classified line ads are printed in
the Durango Herald and/or Cortez Journal print editions, depending on which publication you selected. Your ad will also
appear online for FREE on www.durangoherald.com
and/or www.cortezjournal.com, again depending on which publication you selected.
Q: Will I get a confirmation or
receipt?
A: Yes,
on all paid ads you will receive an email confirmation with an order number after your order is
completed. Keep this
receipt for your records.
Q: Do
my cookies need to be enabled?
A: Yes. Click

Q: How
do I place a 'Card of Thanks' ad?
A:
The Durango Herald: You can place it just like a normal ad 'Card of Thanks' classified ads are $.60 per line
with a $3.00 minimum. They
run for three days.
The Cortez Journal: If your want it to appear in The Cortez Journal you need to call their Display Advertising Department at (970) 565-8527.
Q: How do I place a Free ad?
A:
The Durango Herald: You can place it just like a normal ad. Lost, Found and Miscellaneous for Free ads are published at no cost.
They run for 4 days and can be up to 4 lines in length.
The Cortez Journal: The Cortez Journal charges for all "Lost" ads. Free ads only run in Found and Miscellaneous for Free classifications for 3 days.
Q: Do you have non-profit rates?
A:
Yes. For The Durango Herald's non-profit rates call 970-247-3504 or email classifieds@durangoherald.com.
For the Journal, call 970-565-8527. Tax exempt number required. No agency or cash discounts.
Q: Do
you accept "work from home..." or "get rich quick" ads?
A:
No.
